I'm a life-long Minnesotan, (now residing in Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA), and an artist working in many markets and mediums. A graduate of the University of Minnesota/Twin Cities, (BA Studio Arts, Painting and Drawing concentration), and Certificate of Illustration, I now specialize in acrylic paintings, mixed media art, illustration work for many applications (surface and textile design, jigsaw puzzles, book and spot freelance illustrations, church bulletin art), and in hand painted clergy stoles, custom church textiles, and funeral palls for cremation urns. I regularly exhibit in local art events and exhibitions, with my original artwork and textiles in many USA and Canadian collections: private, corporate, nonsecular and collegiate. I'm the artist-in-residence at Immanuel Lutheran Church (ELCA), Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Many smaller artworks in my "Gem Island" series are currently exhibited at the Dow Art Gallery and the House of HeART, AirBnB (Saint Paul, MN locations) and aren't shown here on my website. Both locations have nonexclusive representation of my artwork.

I enjoy making art with acrylic paints (traditional, and textile specific), watercolors (traditional, and those of gemstone and mineral origins), ink, pencil, color pencils, charcoal, and mixed media. My acrylic textile painted church paraments frequently include volcano ash, mica flakes, and gel mediums.
All my original art is hand painted and hand drawn - no digital design - I have paint under my finger nails and often times elsewhere. Who knows what lies ahead in my love of experimenting!
My lifelong creativity and curiosity have enabled me to find inspiration from many sources and in many fulfilling ways. Playfulness, wonder, humor, abstract thoughts, philosophy, nature, science, faith, spirituality, and Life's events all contribute to my creative processes, love of variety, and materials used. Values of hope, love, beauty, grace, paths, and unity are frequent themes in my art making. I enjoy creating series, oftentimes by chance when I have created beautiful colors, techniques, and an idea needs to be more fully expressed.
I'm a life-long learner and enjoy challenges that bring added growth to my art making processes.
