I create my "Gem Islands" series with genuine gemstone watercolor paints and black ink detailing on 100% cotton cold press papers. These paintings are especially shimmering and beautiful, depicting mythical islands' topographical maps and their rivers, plants, water- and landscapes.
Whether I use acrylic paints, ink, and pastels together, as on the "Swift County: Prairie Soul Remembered" series, or use other mixed media on cotton papers, all artwork is richly developed with layers of visual interest and subject matter. Feel free to interpret what you will!
